South Dakota has joined with several other states in backing Arizona in its fight to enforce a law giving state's joint authority over immigration enforcement.
"This is a highly-publicized and important legal issue that must be settled," Gov. Rounds said in a written statement issued along with South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley.
"Simply put, states should be allowed to enforce federal immigration law," Rounds added.

Six Students wear "White Pride" t-shirts to School
CHAMBERLAIN, SD -Superintendent Tim Mitchell says the white t-shirts had the words "white pride worldwide" written across the back in black lettering, along with the word "cracker" and a Celtic cross. On the front was a peace symbol and the word "peace." Mitchell says the "white pride" reference isn't the problem; it's that the word "cracker" is a derogatory term toward white people, and the Celtic cross is a nationally-known white supremacist symbol.
UMWI says- The Celtic Cross is an historically European and Christian symbol that in the present day symbolizes pride in being White. It has absolutely nothing to do with the media buzzword "supremacy" which, smacks in the face of logic that anyone would want to "rule" over anyone else. No White person wants that. The media shows it's hypocrisy with these types of buzzwords when any sane White person shows the tiniest bit of Pride in who they are, yet they fail to call the Lakota Indians "supremacists" when they show up with "Native Pride" t-shirts.

03/2009 Update on SD Sovereignty:Sovereignty Resolution HCR 1013
The SD House of Representatives voted yesterday 52-17 in favor of the resolution. Some of the house members have let us know that the democrats who voted against the resolution simply don't understand what it is. They think it is a partisan ploy. We need to let all the Democrat Reps and Senators know that this is not about party politics and that it is about our freedom, our state and our country.
For those of you looking to make the move, wanting to visit, or those of you who are just plain curious about our wonderful state, I have compiled a small list of links for you. Be sure to scroll down the page past the pictures for more job links also.
